World Spirituality: The Path of Centering Prayer:
Rev. Paul John Roach Interview with David Frenette
*Episode Description: “Deepening your experience of God—author and senior teacher in the centering prayer movement David Frenette joins me to talk about his new book.”
The Path of Centering Prayer named in “The Best Spiritual Books of 2012″
and nicely reviewed by Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat,
Spirituality & Practice: Resources for Spiritual Journeys
Excerpt from Brussat review: “Frenette’s enthusiasm for centering prayer, his use of illustrative material from his own life and mystical experiences, and his flair for creativity give this handbook a vibrancy that carries the reader along. We were especially taken with his comparisons of contemplation with dancing and with floating on water.”

Living in Unknowing and Trust: Skills for Centering Prayer
The orientation of Incarnational Contemplation is towards practicing and living the contemplative life in our ordinary world. Just as everything in our inner world is all in God, so too is everything in our outer world: the activities, joys, passions and challenges of existence.
In Incarnational Contemplation the divine is found and expressed in human life: searching for a job, birthing a child, washing the dishes, helping others, confronting injustice. In a radical yet simple way people are in God when there is no search for meaning, perfection or God beyond them.
- Renews the ways and practices of coming to union with Christ and unity in God
- Presents a comprehensive and usable contemplative path for people in ordinary life
- Realizes the interdependence of all humanity and all creation through awareness of Christ’s love
