Contemplative Outreach

Contemplative Outreach is an international spiritual network of individuals and small faith communities committed to living the contemplative dimension of the Gospel, though the practice of Centering Prayer. Contemplative Outreach also publishes and distributes the wisdom teachings of Fr. Thomas Keating and other resources that support the contemplative life.

The Center for Contemplative Living in northwest Denver has given classes, workshops and retreats on Centering Prayer for the last 25 years.

Since 1984, the retreat branch in Snowmass has given ten day retreats each month at the retreat house of St. Benedict’s Monastery, Fr. Keating’s home.

St. Benedict’s Monastery

Through daily life in a Cistercian community, the monks aspire to be transformed in mind and heart by embodying Christ Jesus in ways appropriate to our times.

Fetzer Institute

The Fetzer Institute advances love and forgiveness as powerful forces that can transform the human condition. The Institute engages with people and programs working to bring the power of love and forgiveness to the center of individual, organizational and community life. The Institute creates and supports projects that serve as healing forces in a divided world, and that spread knowledge about how individuals everywhere can be more loving and forgiving in daily life.

Naropa University

This approach to learning integrates the best of Eastern and Western educational traditions, helping students know themselves more deeply and engage constructively with others. By combining these two storied pedagogies, East and West are indeed meeting every day at Naropa University and the resulting sparks of inspiration are flying.
